When designer Callie Windle renovated her North Texas home earlier this year, she wanted to transform the one-time college rental into a beautiful, sophisticated space. But as the mother of an active preschooler, she also needed the interior to be functional and kid friendly. “Ultimately, that looks like a lot of balance — not being afraid to use antiques or fine fabrics, while also knowing when to use something durable or replaceable in high-traffic areas,” says Windle, owner of Callie Windle Interiors in Dallas.
